The idea

What if every player at the table watched the same short clip, except one person secretly watched a slightly different version?

Each round, players pass the phone around and watch privately. Then everyone drops a single one-word clue about what they saw. The clues sound almost right, until the imposter's word is a little off, and the table has to figure out who's lying.

It's a small idea with a lot of laughs.

How it works

Pass and watch

One device makes the rounds. Each player watches their clip privately, then hands it off.

One-word clue

Everyone submits a single word describing what they saw. Short, punchy, and just ambiguous enough.

Vote the imposter

The table debates and votes. The imposter wins by blending in. Everyone else wins by spotting the odd one out.

Stack

Front end

React single-page app tuned for 1-device pass-and-play on mobile.

Clip pipeline

A custom system pulls short clips from YouTube and categorizes them by subject, tone, and visual look, so every round can be assembled automatically.

Imposter matching

That categorization lets the engine hand the imposter a clip that's similar to the group's but subtly different - close enough to bluff with, different enough to get caught.
